1984 Olympic Road Cycling Course
This is an updated course which more accurately represents the 9.85 mile loop Olympic cyclists raced in the XXIII Olympics on July 29, 1984. The Start/Finish line of this route is about a mile back from the actual start and finish, since there is no real parking at the actual start line and there is better parking at the Olympiad Plaza. The loop is 9.85 miles and is hilly with both short, steep climbs as well as long gradual climbs. Directions: Head North on Olympiad; (1 mile in look down and you will see the "FINISH" line embossed into the road); Right on Marguerite; Left on Mustang Run; Left on Crucero; Left on Hildago; Left on Vista del Lago (short, steep hill); Right on Marguerite; Left on La Paz (long hill); Left on Olympiad to Start A shortcut can be accomplished by making a left on Alicia off Marguerite right back to the finish. This will give a total of around 5-6 miles. The South Coast Roadrunners will be meeting at Bagels & Brew in Mission Viejo on Saturday August 2 at 7:00 AM for this run - join us !
