Skating

The rise of skating and its derivative rollerblading in the US was meteoric in the early 1990s and it remains popular across the world. Inline skaters use roads, pavements and features like fences and steps to get around and perform tricks. Other skaters go from A to B by the fastest possible route, weaving quickly and skillfully through city streets. Large numbers congregate for evening group skates, with the Paris Friday night event attracting up to 35,000 people.
